Simon Spencer

I was elected on to the council in June 2009 at the age of 48. I am deputy leader and Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport.For 18 years I was a fire-fighter but I am now the Managing Director of our family's Ashbourne based bakery and restaurant business, and I have two children.I am a former Derbyshire Dales district councillor, former Mayor of Ashbourne  and I have twice stood for parliamentary election.

Robert Parkinson

I was initially elected on to the council in 1967 where, as well as the above position, I'm a member of the Regulatory Planning Committee and represent the council on the Derbyshire Combined Fire Authority. 

Judith Twigg

I was first elected on to the county council in 1997.  As well as being Chairman of the above Committee, I am also a member of the council's Health and Adult Care Improvement and Scrutiny Committee and represent it on the Peak District National Park Authority and Joint Advisory body.I am also Chairman of the council's Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) and a Derbyshire Dales District Councillor for Bakewell, where I have been Mayor of the town three times.

Kevin Buttery - Horsley Division

I was elected as the County Councillor for this area in 2013. My experience as a retired senior police officer, County and Borough Councillor has provided me with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to promote and represent Horsley Division effectively within Derbyshire County Council.

Stuart Ellis

I was elected on to the council in June 2009 where, as well as the above positions, I'm a member of the Pensions Committee and the Audit Committee. I'm also on the Communities, Culture and the Environment Improvement and Scrutiny Committee.I've lived in the area for more than 20 years and I'm married with two adult children, both of whom are school teachers.After leaving university in 1968 I worked in the private sector and occupied a number of board level positions before starting my own business in 2000. 

Martyn Ford

I was first elected on to the council in May 2005 and I'm delighted that I continue to represent the Repton and Willington division.I have the priveledge of Chairing the Planning Committee on Derbyshire County Council. A responsibility I take very seriously.The County Council has made some very impressive strides over the last 3 years, especially in Youth Service Provision, Adult Care and ensuring The Council makes efficiency savings whilst still delivering excellent "Front Line" services. I am proud of the part I have played in these improvements.
