Erewash Borough Councillors provide £500 grant for University of the Third Age
Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal and his fellow Wilsthorpe Borough Councillors, Chris Corbett and Michael Powell, have arranged for the Council to give a grant of £500 to the Long Eaton and District U3A which has been used to purchase a new laptop. This will be used to assist with the training of interested Group leaders and members on their new computer system.
U3A Chairman David Barradell said;
"He was delighted to receive these grant funds of £500, adding that the laptop will be a great help to the organisation in bringing everyone up to speed with the new procedures"
