DCC Cllrs Kewal Singh Athwal and Robert Parkinson were approached by President Barbara James of Long Eaton Rotary Club who requested grant funding of £1000 to assist the club with their annual FREEFamily Fun Day at West Park
Long Eaton Rotary President Barbara James said;
“Dear Kewal and Robert, Many thanks for your very kind grant donation of £1000 which was an immense help towards funding our Free Family Fun Day on Wednesday 28th August. The day was a huge success with many families being able to enjoy a totally free afternoon. I know they will have such fond memories and lovely photos with their families. Your grant enabled us to have the fairground rides which delighted the children, without your funding this would not have been possible, your grant made such a difference”
Derbyshire County Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal Said;
“Cllr Parkinson and i are both delighted to have been able to support Long Eaton Rotary Club with this £1000Grant from the Derbyshire County Council MCLS to facilitate the FREE Family Fun Day at West Park. We are aware that many local youngsters really enjoyed the many attractions and rides on offer”
