Sanjoy Sen is the candidate in the Loundsley Green & Newbold Division. Born and raised in Chesterfield, he knows the town well. And having worked in various places in the UK and abroad, he brings a wide range of skills and perspectives to the role.

He is an engineer by profession with experience including steel, North Sea oil and the transition to clean energy. With a background in major energy projects, he is keen to support Derbyshire in creating green jobs, improving our environment and delivering zero-emission transport opportunities.

He has previously run as a parliamentary candidate. He gained over 18,000 votes and almost captured a once-safe Labour seat in one of the closest results at the 2019 general election.
