Keep Derbyshire Together petition

The Labour Party want to break Derbyshire up. Most recently local Labour MPs are suggesting they want to take High Peak out of Derbyshire and put it in with Manchester. Previous Labour proposals wanted to merge Chesterfield (and by default North East Derbyshire) with Sheffield. And now senior Labour figures have also suggested that parts of southern Derbyshire could go into Nottingham, or that Derby City should enlarge its boundaries to swallow up surrounding towns and villages.

What's worse, recent news reports have said sources want to make these changes as part of plans to turn our area into a 'growth corridor' and flood Derbyshire with new housing - on top of the new Labour Government's massive mandatory housing requirements!

Derbyshire Conservatives are fighting to keep Derbyshire together and stop our county being broken up. Please take just a minute to sign our petition below if you agree.
