Greater Heanor - Alex Stevenson

Serving as your County Councillor for the past 4 years, Alex has worked hard to support residents and get things done in Heanor,, Langley Mill, Shipley and Mapperley.

Through the Council's Community Grant scheme, and through the £5500 raised from recycling cans whilst clearing litter, Alex has supported local groups such as the Lions Den Boxing Club, local brownies, Heanor Vision, Heanor traders and the Blend Youth Project. Alex also supported sports and community facilities and helped fund new local defibrillators.

He has helped organise popular local events, such as the Cromford Road Festival in Langley Mill and Heanor Town events to encourage shoppers and visitors the area. This is alongside regular big clean-ups and the community skips that Alex has funded.

Alex wants to continue to work with residents to be proactive in tackling the issues that matter most to you, such as continuing to organise regular litter picks and providing more litter bins.

Following the recent success of the new splash pad in Heanor Memorial Park, Alex will also keep campaigning to improve our local parks and green spaces.

As someone who lives and owns businesses in the Division, Alex wants to continue to be a local councillor who solves local issues and get things done. He hopes that he can continue to count on your support and that you'll vote for him on the 6th May.
